About Dr. Peter Su
Dr. Peter Su, M.D. is a double board-certified physician in both PM&R (physical medicine and rehabilitation) and interventional pain management. Dr. Su graduated college from the University of California, San Diego then went on to complete his medical school training at Ross University School of Medicine. He subsequently went to Boston, MA to complete his residency in PM&R at Tufts Medical Center. Afterward, he completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pain management at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.
With his background training in PM&R, Dr. Su takes pride in the philosophy of maximizing function, with an emphasis in functional restoration. Dr. Su brings his expertise with a multidisciplinary approach to help patients dealing with chronic pain. During his residency training in Boston, he developed an interest in using Eastern medicine such as acupuncture for pain relief. Thus, he completed a 1 year acupuncture training for physicians under Harvard Medical School. After being exposed to the traumas of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, Dr. Su volunteered to be a race physician for the prestigious marathon over the subsequent years during his residency. Furthermore, he was actively involved in academics, including multiple journal publications and presentations at national conferences. He also took on leadership roles during medical school and residency, including being on the Massachusetts Medical Society Resident Council and the Tufts Medical Center Program Evaluation Committee. In addition to being named Top Twenty Doctors in 2020 in Las Vegas, Dr. Su was awarded the Patients’ Choice Award, On-Time Doctor Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition for the years 2017, 2018 and 2020.
Dr. Su grew up in southern California in sunny Los Angeles. After training in multiple states across the United States he welcomes being back at home in Las Vegas with his family. Dr. Su enjoys being involved at his local church, spending time with his family, playing sports, traveling, hiking, movies, and video games. He is fluent in Chinese, with supporting staff who are fluent in Spanish.
